India is set to witness one of the most ambitious school-level chess movements in its history. The National School Chess League (NSCL) 2026 has officially opened onboarding for schools nationwide with a clear objective: to make structured chess education accessible to every student — at zero cost to schools.Powered by Gukesh Dommaraju, structured by renowned coach Vishnu Prasanna and IM Soumya Swaminathan, and presented by CircleChess, NSCL aims to build India’s most competitive and inclusive inter-school chess ecosystem.
