Role Description

This is a work from Office role (Banglore).

We are looking for passionate chess enthusiasts to mentor young minds and help them achieve their full potential. As a Chess Mentor, you’ll guide students from beginner to advanced levels, provide personalized support, and foster a love for the game.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct introductory calls with students and parents to set expectations.
  • Support students in their journey from beginner to advanced levels.
  • Share regular feedback with parents on their child’s progress.
  • Provide tailored assistance to improve chess skills.
  • Recommend tournaments for students to gain practical experience.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of chess with a FIDE rating (mandatory).
  • Prior experience in teaching or mentoring is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire young learners.
  • Passion for chess and fostering growth in students.
  • Should work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and organized to manage multiple students efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chess: Conduct individual and group chess lessons for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players.
  • Curriculum Development: Create engaging lesson plans, exercises, and training materials tailored to students’ skill levels.
  • Game Analysis: Review and analyze students’ games to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Tournament Preparation: Prepare students for competitions by teaching advanced strategies, openings, and endgame techniques.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and motivation to help students develop a love for chess and improve their skills.
  • Online Coaching: Conduct virtual coaching sessions via video calls or online platforms.

 

Requirements:

  • Chess Expertise: Should have a good FIDE rating and a strong understanding of chess theory.
  • Teaching Experience: Proven experience in coaching chess, either online or offline.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
  • Patience and Passion: A patient, enthusiastic, and motivating personality to inspire students of all ages.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with online chess platforms and tools for game analysis.
  • Certification: Chess coaching certification is a plus.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Client Acquisition: Identify and onboard new customers, including individuals, schools, and organizations, for CircleChess products and services.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Product Promotion: Promote CircleChess’s offerings, including online courses, coaching programs, and membership plans.
  • Market Research: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company goals.
  • Reporting: Track and report sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in edtech, gaming, or SaaS industries.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation and a passion for solving client needs.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools  and online sales platforms.
  • Self-Motivated: A proactive and results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Chess Knowledge: Basic understanding of chess is a plus, but not mandatory.
