About

GM Dejan has many years of high level experience in tournament and league chess, coaching and training at all levels, chess journalism, and producing both written and audiovisual publications and coaching material for chess players. He has an academic background in Sports Science and Sports Psychology which is a unique perspective that he bring to his coaching and work with students. He has more than 25 years of practical experience as a player in more than 50 countries over 5 continents, with significant tournament, team, and league successes in Europe and elsewhere, as well as Bulgarian national honours. As a coach and trainer He is a member of the FIDE Trainers’ Commission and a FIDE Senior Trainer. As such He run courses for Trainers worldwide. He is working with national teams such as PNG and New Zealand in Chess Olympiads, as well as conducting chess camps, workshops, and training programs for juniors in Bulgaria, USA, France, Greece, Turkey, New Zealand, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong and India amongst other places. His top students from these countries have achieved IM and GM titles and won age group honours at national, continental, and world level.
